How

Scaled

Marketing Across 130 Branches

Summary Success Story Case Study

Revolution Mortgage has grown dramatically during its relationship with Maxa, expanding from roughly 30 branches when Creative Manager John Whitehead joined the company to approximately 130 branches operating across 48 states. As the organization scaled, so did the complexity of producing fast, on-brand and compliant marketing for hundreds of loan officers and branch teams.

Revolution needed a marketing system that could preserve a distinctive national brand while still giving local producers the flexibility to market to their own communities, real estate partners and borrowers. Maxa became the infrastructure that connected templates, pricing, property data, co-marketing, print, automation and compliance inside one ecosystem.

Today, Whitehead estimates that roughly 80% of Revolution’s marketing deliverables are created inside Maxa. The company reports approximately 80% platform adoption, with around 360 active users during the year.

"Maxa, out of all of our marketing and design tools, is by far the most used platform we have.”

"100%.
Maxa reduces our risk 100%”

— John Whitehead, Revolution Mortgage

The Challenge:

Revolution’s P&L-based model gives each branch room to respond to its market. But hundreds of producers, different audiences, complex mortgage programs, and state-specific requirements still had to fit under one recognizable brand.

As Revolution grew, the system needed to:

Give loan officers fast access to professional, on-brand marketing without turning them into designers.

Scale co-marketing, pricing and property-specific materials across a national footprint.

Protect the brand and reduce compliance risk across 48 states and hundreds of producers.

“Speed and quality are our highest priorities. Maxa allows us to do both while maintaining the quality of our brand across all these branches and individual producers.”

Why Maxa

Revolution became one of Maxa’s earliest mortgage clients, around 2019–2020, when the company had about 30 branches and Whitehead was still wearing every hat — designer, creative manager, compliance administrator. As the organization accelerated, Maxa became embedded in the daily workflow rather than sitting alongside it as one option among many.

The value isn’t only in producing more pieces — it’s in turning a good idea from one branch into a repeatable system for the whole company.“It’s scalability. It’s working smarter, not harder,”Whitehead said.

What Maxa means to our clients and our customers is a one-stop marketing solution, completely cohesive from content creation to compliance review, all bundled inside one platform.

Building the Platform Into the Culture

Implementation & Onboarding

Maxa is part of the technology stack new hires are trained on alongside the company’s CRM and other core systems — not an optional tool discovered later.

1
Weekly training

Ongoing sessions for new employees, run alongside the rest of the onboarding stack.

2
Branch-level sessions

Training tailored to how each branch actually markets, not a one-size webinar.

3
One-on-one support

Personalized help for producers who need more than the built-in tutorials.

“Reach out to us when you hit the 10-minute mark and you don’t know what you’re doing. This is what we’re here for. We want to step in, we want to take over, we want to make it seamless.”

Design & Customization

Maxa gives Revolution a template foundation that can be customized for different producers, branches, and markets without rebuilding every campaign from scratch.

That balance matters because Revolution intentionally avoids a one-size-fits-all marketing strategy. Some loan officers thrive on camera and social media; others have decades of referral relationships and prefer database-driven outreach.

LoanPass pricing integration

Monthly payment scenarios are created directly inside Maxa.

National MLS property search

Users pull property details directly into marketing materials.

“If you combine the property search feature with the pricing integration, we can create seamless open house flyers, listing flyers, promotional property flyers that also include relevant pricing to that property. Being able to deliver that for our business partners has been a huge win for our teams.”

Agent Feedback & Adoption

Meeting Loan Officers Where They Are

That engagement is reinforced through weekly training, branch education, and an internal help center Revolution built specifically around Maxa — supplementing Maxa’s own tutorials with the company’s frequently asked questions, guided videos, and support articles tailored to Revolution’s workflows.

Reach out to us when you have the 10-minute mark and you don’t know what you’re doing. This is what we’re here for. We want to step in. We want to take over. We want to make it seamless.

Co-marketing is one of the platform’s most important use cases. In an internal survey of roughly 50 Maxa power users, Revolution did not receive a score below four across about 20 categories covering integrations, use, training, and support. Whitehead said open-house materials, payment flyers, and other co-marketing pieces are among the strongest applications, because they let loan officers create value for their real estate partners quickly.

The five o’clock on a Friday is just a common occurrence for us. That’s another beautiful thing about Maxa — it allows us to take those rush requests and those expedited requests and be able to actually deliver them.

Compliance Support: Scaling Safely Across 48 States

For a national mortgage company, speed only matters if the marketing remains compliant. Revolution supports approximately 130 branches and hundreds of producers, including loan officers licensed in dozens of states.

Users identify the state where an advertisement will run, letting the marketing and compliance teams filter activity by market and producer when reporting is needed. Whitehead says the company has maintained an“A-plus record”on the accuracy, credentials, and compliance elements that matter most.

Brand Continuity & Recognition

For Whitehead, whose background is in graphic design and branding, consistency is part of how Revolution differentiates itself in a category where financial-services brands can look and sound alike.

Maxa lets the company respond quickly to market changes while staying inside an established brand system, repurposing an existing asset rather than starting a new design workflow from scratch.

Addressed right inside the platform, not a new workflow.

“ Maxa has helped us just expand our brand vocabulary and identity further than we could have ever imagined. ”

Ongoing Support & Evolution

The partnership has continued as both companies have evolved. Revolution has participated in newer Maxa capabilities, including automated marketing packages designed to make listing-specific and co-marketing materials available faster — in some cases before a real estate partner has even requested them.

“I love to see that Maxa refuses to slow down. They continue to innovate, and it’s very exciting to be a part of that innovation.”

Support matters too: Revolution’s team creates most of its own design work, but leans on Maxa for technical issues, extra capacity, and a leadership team that’s accessible and open to feedback.

Lessons for Other Brokerages

Treat templates as scalable infrastructure, not just individual marketing pieces.
Give producers self-service options while keeping expert marketing support close at hand.
Use integrations and automation to remove repetitive work and create more value for referral partners.
Build compliance requirements into the workflow instead of adding them at the end.
Invest continuously in training, so technology becomes part of the culture rather than another unused subscription.

Maxa plugs into our ecosystem and allows us to elevate our brand beyond our wildest dreams. So it’s been amazing.
